Faculty Summer Short Course - A CTLO Short Course on Pedagogy
August 07, 2019

The CTLO will offer our 4th annual Faculty Summer Short Course on (Re)Designing your Class in September.

The Faculty Summer Short Course (FSSC) on Course Design has been developed for faculty who are either teaching a new course in the upcoming academic years, or who desire to re-think or re-design a course that they have previously taught. Facilitated by Dr. Jenn Weaver, Associate Director of University Teaching at the CTLO, the FSSC is a 4-session short course offered annually by the CTLO since 2016, addressing the process of “backwards design” from start to finish. Topics include learning outcomes, active learning, assessments, overall class structure, and inclusive classroom practices. By the end, faculty will have a solid plan for their class.

This course will be held on September 10th, 12th, 17th and 19th, 2019 from 12:15pm-1:45pm at the CTLO (CSS360). Lunch will be provided.
